Bråviken Cold Feet Paddle Race
Welcome to Sweden's annual classic cold water paddle race. Attracting the fast and the tough since 2014. Mark your calendars for Saturday, 26 November 2022!
Seven years ago the idea came up to organise a late season paddle race just before winter and ice. It has since grown into an annual race open to all skill levels that support the advancement and enjoyment for paddling sports in Sweden. Fighting the cold together with like-minded paddlers in the waters of Bråviken is followed by a simple gathering around the fire while savoring warm food and a sip of hot punsch. The feeling of warmth returning to your feet is such a great sensation!
Location: Bråvikens Kanotklubb - Bråviksvägen 57, Norrköping
Date: Saturday, 26 November 2022
Paddlers meeting: 10.45
Prize ceremony: 13.45
Courses: 15, 10 and 5 km
The Bråviken waters are often quite choppy. Waves build quickly when wind is from east or west and can get surprisingly big.
Choose between 15, 10 or 5 km. The 5 km course is close to land. The 10 and 15 km courses are more exposed and cross the waterway twice into Norrköping Harbour and is frequently trafficked by big ships. Watch out!
A map is good to have even if you know the area. With poor visibility you will get lost.
GPX files for your navigation will be provided.
After the race
Changing and showers
Changing to dry clothes can be done both inside and outside. Bråvikens Kanotklubb has two changing rooms that will be available.
Food and gathering
Food and coffee will be served outside starting after the first paddler has arrived and will continue until everyone has been served. Upon arrival, you will receive one race bag with utensils for the food.
We will celebrate all the winners and participants promptly at 13.45.
